Questions you may have.
You are in safe hands.
Losing a beloved pet is incredibly hard, and making decisions while grieving can feel overwhelming. My goal is for everything to feel simple and supported from start to finish. These questions are here to give you clarity and confidence, so you feel supported through every step.
If anything is unclear, or if you want reassurance, please reach out. I am here to help, and I treat every keepsake with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

If you have something special in mind that isn’t shown in the brochure, please reach out. Every story is different, and I’m always happy to create something unique to reflect that.
I can often source other sizes, shapes, or settings, and larger custom pieces can be made if you’d like something more substantial. Solid gold options are also available by request.
You’re welcome to email hello.kindredkeepsakes@gmail.com — I’ll share some photos and ideas, and together we can design something that feels just right for you and your loved one.

Every piece is unique. You choose the colours, shimmer, and style that feel meaningful to you, and I bring that vision to life. No two resin pours will ever form the same pattern. That individuality is what makes your keepsake special.
-
Ashes can appear as soft flecks or fine specks. Sometimes they create cloudy swirls, sometimes tiny flakes. Colours are usually grey, silver, or white, and can resemble sand.
-
Fur sits softly within the resin and usually forms a natural curved shape. It does not float around once cured. It stays gently suspended so it feels calm and intentional.
-
With care and respect. Every inclusion is stored, labelled, and kept safely until your keepsake is complete. I treat each one the way I would want someone to treat mine. I handle everything gently, thoughtfully, and with complete privacy.
You do not need to post anything yourself. The clinic collects and stores the inclusion for me until I pick it up.
All you need to do is choose your keepsake.
-
A tiny amount. About half a teaspoon of ash or a small fingertip pinch of fur.
-
No. The clinic staff collect and store everything for you. You just tell them you are ordering jewellery, and they will set the fur or ashes aside for me to collect.
-
Most keepsakes are ready in two to three weeks, but sometimes up to four. Resin takes time to cure properly, and I want your piece to be perfect. If there is any delay, I will keep you updated.

Gold vermeil means the jewellery is made from solid 925 sterling silver coated with a thick layer of real gold. It gives you the look of gold without the cost of solid gold and is safe for sensitive skin.
-
Yes, all plated jewellery will naturally wear over time. The underlying metal is sterling silver, so the plating may soften with regular wear, water exposure, perfume, or lotions. When this happens, the piece may slowly return to its original silver colour.
-
To keep your keepsake looking its best, treat it gently.
• Take your jewellery off before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
• Avoid perfume, hand sanitiser, chlorine, salt water, and lotions on the piece.
• Store it in a soft pouch or dry jewellery box when you are not wearing it.
• Gently polish with a soft cloth if it looks dull. With mindful care, your keepsake will stay beautiful for a long time.
-
Only solid gold will never tarnish. If this is something you want, reach out and I can organise a custom solid gold piece for you.
-
Only a very small amount is needed to create your keepsake. If there is any remaining fur or ashes after your piece is complete, I return everything safely to the clinic for you to collect, or back to you directly if arranged that way.
Nothing is ever discarded.
Every inclusion is handled with respect, stored securely, and clearly labelled from the moment it is received until the moment it is returned. If you prefer, I can use even less so more is returned to you. Just let me know what feels right.
You are trusting me with something precious. I treat it that way.
